2 Getting Started

Implementation

Most EPM implementations fail because of three things: unclear requirements, dirty data, and underestimating how much your team's daily work needs to change. We've seen all three enough times to know how to avoid them.

What actually goes wrong in implementations

The vendor demo looked perfect. The business case made sense. Then reality hit: your data wasn't as clean as everyone assumed, the requirements kept shifting because nobody had properly mapped the planning process, and your finance team was supposed to test the new system while also running month-end. We've delivered well over 200 EPM projects. The pattern is always the same. The fix starts before the first sprint.

We recommend starting with a Bolt Blueprint. It means the implementation is scoped properly before the first sprint. From £5,000, credited against implementation.

How we deliver

1

Discovery & Design

Deep dive into your requirements, processes, and data landscape. We understand what decisions you need to make, then design the models to support them.

2

Build

Iterative development with regular demos and feedback cycles. You see progress weekly, not just at the end. We adjust as we learn.

3

Test & Validate

Testing with your team using real scenarios and real data. We make sure it works in practice, not just in theory.

4

Deploy & Train

Go-live support with hands-on enablement. Your team learns by doing, not by watching slides.

5

Embed

Post-launch support until it's second nature. We stay until your team owns it.

6

Optimise

Review what's working after the dust settles. Tune performance, refine processes, plan next phase.

Platforms we implement

We have deep implementation experience across Anaplan, Pigment, Planful, and IBM Planning Analytics. We recommend what fits your situation.

Small team, senior expertise

The people you talk to before signing are the people who build your model. We also take a co-build approach where it makes sense - your team learns the platform during implementation, not after. We want you running it independently within 6 months.

Discuss your project
